Assalamu Alaykum Warahmatullah,
I would like to extend a warm welcome to all visitors to our website. It is my pleasure to introduce Sapience Girls Academy to the community of Oldham. As Director of Sapience Girls Academy, my role is to ensure the smooth running of the school and its systems. This involves managing the performance and accountability of trustees, the senior leadership team, the teaching staff and all embedded systems at every level.
Sapience Girls Academy (SGA) is the result of the amalgamation of a plethora of experience, expertise, and a collective vision. As an independent faith school, the ethos and vision of SGA is inspired by the very first verse revealed in the Holy Quran.
Inspired by the powerful an inspiring verse, we endeavour to establish an institution that exudes excellence at every level and produces students who understand and fulfil the criteria of seeking knowledge. At SGA we strive to achieve the fulfilment and preservation of the teachings of the Holy Quran and our Beloved Prophet Muhammad.
We have developed robust systems at SGA to ensure the best outcomes for our students. ‘Tarbiyah’ or the cultivation of morals and values is at the centre of our holistic approach to education. In order to produce well-rounded, active British Muslim citizens, we have adopted a proactive approach to ensure we support the academic, spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of our students. Your children are our ‘Amanah’(responsibility), our duty is to fulfil their individual learning needs to aid their progression in order to achieve and exceed their potential.
At Sapience Girls Academy we foster academic excellence whilst aiming to produce confident, ambitious, and well-rounded British Muslim women. Our vision is for our students to achieve success in every aspect of their lives, and to advance in their chosen careers as experts and future educators. We aim to empower and educate your children to be well- equipped with knowledge and transferrable skills, to propel their success further.
Our vision requires a collective effort. My role is to ensure the systems and system managers align with our vision, ethos and mission. As parents, we request you to fulfil your role as engaged and active parents. Together we can ensure the success of your daughters and provide a strong support network during these key years of development and growth as they transition from children to young adults.

Assalamu Alaykum Warahmatullah,
I am delighted and honoured to welcome you to Sapience Girls Academy. It is a great privilege to lead this magnificent school. I am incredibly passionate about the girls education and the social and economic progression of women. Sapience offers a wonderful environment where our students are encouraged and supported to develop spiritually, academically, socially and culturally. Underpinned by our Islamic faith, Sapience Girls Academy is a rich and vibrant learning community, where we aim for each student to develop a positive attitude and growth mindset, instil a love for learning, and create well rounded and confident learners. Beyond the classroom, we have integrated an immersive and broad enrichment programme, designed to provide our students with the opportunity to develop a plethora of transferrable life skills. From sewing, to archery, to creative or culinary skills, our students will become competent, resilient and skilled. Our fantastic careers programme once again designed to provide a progressive learning experience to students, prepares them for higher education and training opportunities. Our careers programme starts as early as Year 7 to allow students to begin laying the foundation of action planning and goal realisation. Furthermore, our girls have access to a range of clubs and activities, where they can develop their own passions. By utilising the principles of ‘Tarbiyah’, we aim to provide practical learning opportunities for students, such as community welfare projects, student exchanges and charity campaigns to make a real difference in their school and wider community. Allowing our students develop a global awareness and realistic understanding of social issues. I believe that community is essential in supporting the provision of the best possible education for your daughters. Our students leaders are exceptional and actively involved in the management of student affairs and student voice. Our staff are talented, highly professional and dedicated to providing the best experiences of our girls. Our parents are active, supportive and engaged with the school community. I strongly believe that the education girls receive at Sapience Girls Academy, will cultivate a positive attitude, encourage progression and allow them to take an equal seat at any table in their lives. At Sapience, we hope to follow in the footsteps of our greatest female leaders in Islam, we aim to develop and foster a likeness to their characteristics, courage and resilience.
