Target setting
Pupils are assessed regularly throughout the year, which allows teachers to determine what pupils understanding, attainment and progress. Assessments support the planning and structure of further learning. Formative assessments take place throughout the term in form of end of unit exams, end of topic quizzes etc.
Summative assessments take place twice a year, the first assessment cycle takes place at the end of term 1b. The second assessment cycle takes place at the end of term 3b. Pupils and parents receive diagnostic feedback through the form of academic reports and individual review meeting. Review meetings will detail the academic progress, targets, behaviour and attitudes to learning.
